To the San Diego Supply Corps Community,

Happy New Year to All!

Sincerely hope you had time to relax and/or re-connect with your family and friends.  For those of you deployed and on the front line, we look forward to your safe return and remain very proud of what you are doing!

Before we look forward, I’d like to highlight some of the events made “special” by All of You.  “Special” in that you took time out of your busy schedules to participate in these events that enabled; Opportunities to meet face to face, and yes, actually having some fun doing so!  Networking: personal and professional.  And, giving your time and generous donations to our Supply Corps Foundation.

Wow!  2009 was a banner year filled with many well attended events … remember;

  • Fleet Supply Policy Council Social at Naval Base Coronado

  • Summer Social at Petco Park

  • Golf Tournament at Riverwalk

  • “All Calls” at Naval Base Coronado

  • Junior Officer Training Symposium at San Diego Naval Base

  • Benefit Auction at Waterside Hilton

  • BQC Salt Water Social at Naval Base Coronado

  • Holiday Open House at Admiral Heinrich’s Home

Looking forward to early 2010 events;

  • 8 Feb: OP Road Show

  • 6 March: San Diego Supply Corps Ball at Waterside Hilton

I want to thank our very engaged and “actively” retired Supply Corps Officers for always being there; Captains John Kizer, Fran Derby, Chuck Stone, and Tom Billings.  Also, a big shout out to RADM Heinrich (COMFISCs), my friends and Leaders of their own organizations; Captains Andy Benson (CNSF), Glenn Robillard (FISC SD), and Bob Snyder (NSWC).

We have much to be thankful for and much to be proud of in what we deliver as Supply Corps professionals.  Whether on or off duty, we are making a dramatic and lasting impact on Joint & Navy Logistics AND to our San Diego Supply Corps Community.

With Sincerity,
