Letter from the SDSCA President, CAPT David Pimpo:
San Diego Area Supply Corps Community,
I recently relieved CAPT Dave Watt as the President of the San Diego Supply
Corps Association (SDSCA).
I would like to personally recognize and thank CAPT Watt, all former SDSCA
officers, and each SDSCA member for the success you have enjoyed during the past
year. A hearty BZ to all!
So where do we go from here? Our plan is to build on the momentum CAPT Watt and
his team have generated...but we are also going to inject a renewed emphasis on
mentoring, career building and providing support to you (our local members) and
your families. Details will be forthcoming after discussing the way ahead with
our leadership team...including our distinguished retired community! John Kizer,
Fran Derby, Chuck Stone, John Kizer, Tom Hammons, and Tom Billings are legends
in our business and it will be great working with them again!
The next SDSCA event is a San Diego Padres baseball game on 10Aug, Petco Park.
Additionally, planning has started for "All Calls Made and Returned" event with
the Chief of Supply Corps which is tentatively scheduled for a date in late
September/early October. The annual charity/scholarship auction will be in
November and the Supply Corps Birthday Ball in March 2011. All these events
will need your assistance in making them successful. Event dates and details

With the continued support of our active duty, reservists, retirees, spouses,
enlisted, friends, and area commands, we will build an association we can be
proud of and further the opportunities for each of us to mentor, network, and
just have good fun!

The San Diego Supply Corps Association is a chapter of the U.S. Navy Supply
Corps Foundation. The U.S. Navy Supply Corps Foundation exists to perpetuate
the values, traditions, and history of the Supply Corps throughout the lives of
individuals in the Supply Corps community. The foundation shall pursue its
mission by providing services and programs related to recruiting, training and
development, transition, recognition, financial support and commemoration.
